DIDDLEY HISTORY
If you don't yet know Diddley, you soon will. His debut was on The Children's Channel in 1989, which was broadcast using the British Sky Broadcasting satellite company.
The show was The Huva Show which featured a chimpanzee character in his treehouse, who the alien then called "Thing" would crash and wreak havoc with his left field view of the world. The show ran daily, received great ratings and was broadcast simultaneously in two languages: English and Dutch.
Later Thing had his own chat show called "Thing's Thing" where he would interview popular British celebrities of the day. Again, this show ran daily and gained record ratings for the channel.
